spontaneity

Boston, a week from Sunday through that Tuesday. Thanks to a wicked cheap direct flight on AA. (Unfortunately, it's a Saturday night redeye - but at least it's direct.)

What should I do while I'm there? I want to do everything! I want to go hacking and eat good ice cream and go apple-picking and have a party and go out to eat and drink beer and and and...

Spontaneity is good for me.

I'll miss a few social things out here I'd been looking forward to, and there's an awesome Systems Biology conference in Boston that ends the day before I arrive - Nick's going - but my plans of crashing the conference wouldn't have worked anyway, since it's superoversubscribed.

You could try and scrounge tickets for the Sox.

If you can spare the time for the valley, pine hill orchards/west county winery. Apple picking! local wines and ciders! cheeeeeeeese!

ooh, hm. It would be nice to get enough outside Boston that it really feels like fall. I don't have much time, though.
